Value Engineering

Value engineering is a technique aimed at improving the value of products, processes or projects.

Value engineering critically examines the contribution made to product value by each feature of a design. It then seeks to deliver the same contribution at a lower cost. Alternatively, additional design features may be delivered at a maintained cost. Other examples include enhanced or extended product warranties without additional cost.
